PURPOSE:To improve antistatic characteristic without degrading adhesion resistance and photographic characteristics by letting lanoline base ethylene oxide adduct and alkali metal salts, alkaline earth metal salts be combined and contained in the outermost layer of the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:Lanoline base ethylene oxide adduct and alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts such as LiCl, NaCl, Na2CO3, KNO3 are compounded and are added to the coating solution of the silver halide photographic material. Alternately, this addition solution is sprayed on the photosensitive material surface or the photosensitive material is dipped into this solution to let the compounds exist at about 5X10<-1>-1X10<-5> mole per m<2> of the photosensitive material in one or both outermost layers of the photographic constituting layer and substrate layer or in their adjacent layers. Thereby, superior antistatic effect is obtainable under both high humidity and low humidity. |
