PURPOSE:To raise resistance to the leakage of liquid by arranging anodic mixture in such a way as to touch with the metal electrode portion of a metal sealing case with hermetic seal electrode. CONSTITUTION:The metal electrode terminal 21, the glass or ceramic part 22, and the metal sealing case 23 are combined integrally in advance, and then the electrically insulating plastic 24 of polyethylene, etc., is inserted into the case 23 into which the anodic mixture 25 composed mainly of silver oxide is filled. Then, the separator 26, the electrolyte impregnation material 27, and the cathodic mixture 28 composed mainly of amalgamated zinc powder are inserted in order above the anodic mixture 25 and then the metal sealing case 29 is covered. The peripheral edge portions 23a and 29b of the both cases 23 and 29 are sealed by electric welding, etc., to form an alkali secondary cell. A liquid sealant is preferably inserted into the interface between the metal sealing case 23 and the plastic part 24. |
