PURPOSE:To provide a composition for the oral cavity application, which suppresses the deposition of sordes on tooth, decomposes the deposited sordes, and prevents the dental caires and pyorrhea, by compounding dextranase and an n-acyl- beta-alanine salt as an activating agent for the enzyme. CONSTITUTION:Dextranase, an enzyme capable of decomposing dextran which is a constitutent of sordes on tooth, is added with an N-acyl-beta-alanine salt which is an agent for the activation of dextranase. The alanine salt is Na salt or K salt of an N- acyl-beta-alanine wherein the acyl group has a carbon number of 9-17. The amounts of the alanine salt and the dextranase in the whole composition are 0.0001-10wt%, and 1.0-20wt% (as 5,000-1,000,000 unit/g), respecrively. Useful as toothpaste, mouthwash, false tooth cleaning agent, troche, etc. |
