PURPOSE:To reduce the expensive Co content of a Fe-Cr-Co type magnet alloy while maintaining the superior magnetic characteristics and mechanical workability by adding a specified amt. of Ti and Zr to the alloy. CONSTITUTION:The title alloy is a permanent magnet alloy consisting of, by wt., Cr 17-45%, Co 3-35%, Ti 0.03-10%, Zr 0.01-5% and the balance Fe. The addn. of Ti and Zr results very high hot and cold workability in spite of the low expensive Co content. Soln. heat treatment can be carried out at a relatively low temp., and the alloy is excellent in magnetic charecteristics. |
