The noise-protection wall has a concrete foundation (1), from which pillars (2) project freely, between which wall elements (3, 4) are clamped in. Each wall element (3) forms a box, in the interior of which noise-absorbing material is situated. The front and rear wall consist of a profiled sheet, and perforated areas alternate with unperforated areas. A part of the smooth surfaces of the wall elements (4) is transparent and consists for example of panes which are sealed elastically at their edges in such a manner that an adaptation to the mass of the transparent panes is afforded with regard to the springiness properties. <IMAGE>
