1466639 Liquid detergent compositions PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 24 June 1975 [25 June 1974] 26717/75 Heading C5D Heavy-duty liquid detergent compositions comprise (a) from 15 to 65% by weight of a water-soluble nonionic surfactant produced by the condensation of an alkylene oxide with an organic hydrophobic compound; (b) from 10 to 40% by weight of a water-soluble ethanolamine-neutralized anionic surfactant; (c) at least 1% by weight of free ethanolamine; (d) from 0À15 to 25% by weight of a soil-release polymer which comprises ethylene terephthalate units and polyethylene oxide terephthalate units comprising from 25 to 50% by total weight ethylene terephthalate units, the polyethylene oxide units in the polyethylene oxide terephthalate units having a M.W. of 300 to 10,000, the total M.W. of the polymer being 5000 to 200,000. Component (a) may be an ethoxylated aliphatic alochol. Component (b) may be a mixture comprising an ethanolamine- (e.g. triethanolamine-) neutralized (C 9 -C 15 alkyl) benzene sulphonate and an ethanolamine- (e.g. triethanolamine-) neutralized (C 8 -C 24 fatty acid) soap. Component (c) may be triethanolamine. The compositions may comprise a liquid carrier such as a mixture of water and a C 1 -C 5 alcohol. Potassium chloride may be present as an anti-gelling agent. |
