Wedge filter for car air conditioning - is retained by elastomeric wedges on insert sides

Parent Patent described a wedge-shaped filter for insertion into the outlets of the air conditioning system system on the dashboard of motor cars. The back pressure produced by them may expel them from these openings which are not produced with any close tolerance. To prevent this expulsion and to compensate for the loose fit the filter inserts are retained by additional holding wedges on the sides. These can be made of hard rubber, plastic or other elastomers and compress the filter insert sufficiently for a secure mounting.
