<p>The present invention provides filtration apparatus comprising: at least one microporous member having at least a pair of opposed surfaces and a predetermined thickness measured with respect to said pair of opposed surfaces; a tubular member positioned with respect to at least one of said opposed surfaces; and means for introducing fluid at at least one of said opposed surfaces; said microporous member adapted to permit the passage of said fluid from one of said opposed surfaces to the other thereby filtering said fluid; said tubular member adapted to receive said fluid passing through said microporous member and to direct the flow of said filtered fluid away from said microporous member.</p> |
