<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a brake power booster which works even when the engine is interruped, by fitting a power piston through a valve operating rod and applying oil pressure to the piston in accordance with the shift of load. CONSTITUTION:As a pedal is put on, a hydraulic brake is actuated, with a power piaton 4, master cylinder push rod 6 and piston 7 being interlocked. As the load is shifted, a piston 12 of hydraulic cylinder 11 is contracted and this hydraulic output is transmitted to a power piston cylinder 5, which generates a large boosting effect. A through hole 22 is open while the brake is not applied and no hydraulic output works on the piston 4 even if the piston 12 is contracted because of rugged road face.</p> |
