A device, in particular for chemical-medical examinations is provided with a control circuit which controls the amount and duration or time of the throughflow of the medium to be examined and of the corresponding reactants in a desired manner. The electrical circuit consists of a first switching means (1) which, after the reception of a start signal, produces output signals from a starting circuit (2), which signals define, as a function of stored values, the throughflow rate and/or the throughflow time of the medium to be examined. In addition, a second switching means (3, 4) is provided which receives the output signals and influences conveying elements (7, 8) arranged downstream. A sensor (10) on the medium or on its transport elements produces, as a function of the throughflow rate and/or the throughflow time of the medium, a signal which is fed to the second switching means. <IMAGE>
