The prefabricated element is intended for terraces, balconies, flat roofs etc. as well as for walls. A number of tiles are adhesively fastened on shared underlay slab. This has protruding folds at two edges which converge at one corner, and counter folds at the other two corner edges. The latter overlap and grip the folds on the adjacent element, when laid. The panel is pref. square, with folds half as high as it is thick. It may be made of concrete, or of hard foam. Thus damp penetration is checked, and tile laying is simplified and accelerated.
