Centrifugal compacting of fine granules - in rubber lined bowls replacing wheels on motor vehicle differential axle

Fine granules with or without a binder are converted to large lumps of regular size by centrifugal action. Two centrifugal bowls replace the wheels on a conventional differential axle of motor vehicles which is driven by a reversible motor. Each bowl is lined with rubber which has honeycomb cavities to suit the desired shape of the final prod. This a simple and low-cost drive which saves power because the kinetic energy of a spinning bowl can be used to accelerate a stationary bowl after it has been charged. A deflection of the lining towards the centre will remove the final pieces from the cavities of the lining.
