The disc brake is particularly for motor vehicles, having two thrust discs with rollers in cone-shaped recesses between them, so that when the discs are turned in relation to each other the rollers run up the ramp faces and thrust them apart in opposition to return springs. This presses brake discs sliding on the shaft against braking surfaces. The thrust discs are expanded by one or more axial brake cylinders via an actuating mechanism. Two tappets pivot on the portion of the piston protruding from the brake cylinder about an axis extending in the radial direction of the piston. These each engage with a thrust disc, and include an obtuse angle between them in the initial position.
|
