PRODUCTION OF FIBERRREINFORCED PLASTIC MOLDING

PURPOSE:To obtain a molding of high quality at high efficiency by fluidizing a specified combined sheet of an unwoven fiber and a thermoplastic resin to every corner of the mold without separating the reinforcing fiber and the resin through a compressed molding in a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:A blank sheet which is obtained by impregnating two layers of needled unwoven mats 2 and 2' with a thermoplastic resin 1 is heated above the melting point or the softening point of the resin and separated before the solidification of the resin. The blank sheets 4 and 4' thus separated is transferred and charged into the mold and undergoes a press-molding. The separation can be done adjusting the amount of the blank sheets 4 and 4' according to the purposes. In the molding process, the reinforcing fiber and resin are both fluidized to every corner of the mold without separation, thereby producing an even molding of high quality.
