A clutch friction plate 14 with friction lining 15, 16 is mounted by elastic means (e.g. springs 20A) between two parallel discs 11, 12 rigidly fixed to a hub 110, the elastic means being located by embossments, alternately outwards 121A, 125A and inwards 121B, 125B around the discs. Relative movement between the plate 14 and discs 11, 12, may be opposed frictionally by friction rings 26, 27 or segments axially loaded by either a crimped spring washer 125 or radial fingers, one or both of the rings 26, 27 or segments being possibly at the radius of the springs or at a greater radius. |
