PURPOSE:To enable the image density of a photoreceptor whose sensitivity changes with reiterative uses to be made constant by automatically controlling exposure. CONSTITUTION:When copying of the preset number of sheets ends, a counter unit 1 starts operating and counts the pause time of the photoreceptor. Each time when the pause time of the photoreceptor reaches a fixed time, the temperature of the photoreceptor is detected and this data is inputted via input unit 3 to a central processing unit 5. Next, the unit 5 makes the specified operations based on the various constants of the photoreceptor and programs having been stored in a memory device 4 and calculates the next correct exposure. By the results of this calculation, an exposure device 7 is controlled by way of an output unit 6. In this way, the images of always constant density may be obtained. |
