The visual display unit, for a data processing installation, comprises a picture screen (15) in a recesses housing, incorporating a vertical picture frame. The screen may be rotated between 5 deg. and 10 deg. from the vertical within the frame. The latter may itself be rotated to about 30 deg. away from the vertical. Adjustments are made by means of a hand-grip (18) which rotates in the same direction as the screen. The hand grip is situated at the end of a toothed wheel which engages with an idler wheel, and the latter with a toothed segment attached to the screen. The main housing (12/13) includes a rectangular front frame (14) which retains a masking frame (19) which surrounds the picture screen (15). The masking frame has a clip arrangement to which a colour filter may be attached.
