PURPOSE:To reduce a recording head in size, to facilitate utilization of multi-nozzle and to enable a stable high-speed recording to be achieved for a long period of time, by making a heat-generating body's thermal energy act on recording media in a liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:Recording media 4 are heated in such a manner that it is introduced from a recording media supply unit 1 into a liquid chamber 5 and made to contact the recording media 4 on a radiating plate 5' having a large thermal conductivity and constituting a part of the liquid chamber 5 or by supplying voltage pulse from a voltage pulse supply mechanism, in accordance with recording input, to a heat-generating body 6 provided nearly below 100mum, and it undergoes such changes as pulse-like liquid expansion and generation of foam 7. Due to such a change in condition, the liquid is discharged from an orifice 8 splashing small droplets and adhere onto a paper 10 to recod an image corresponding to a recording information. |
