PURPOSE:To improve the adhering intensity of the film layer of the soft metal with the lubricating property to extend the life by forming the soft metal film layer with the lubricating property over the friction metal surface by the ion-plating method. CONSTITUTION:The ball bearing is constituted of the ball 1 as the rolling body, the inner and outer races 3, 4 as the bearing races, and the retainer 5 to hold the ball 1. The metal film layers 21, 22 of which solubility is larger than that of the metals of the material of the ball 1 and the uppermost layer 23, is formed in advance over the surface of the ball 1 as the middle layers by ionplating, and the multi-layered film 2 can be completed by forming the soft metal film layer 23 with the lubricating property as the uppermost layer over the middle layer by ion-plating. |
