<p>A multiplex transmission system for analog and digital signals uses optical fibres. It is used for wide band transmission. There are a number of light sources (1, 2, 3) of different wave lengths at the transmission end. The light sources are allocated to their own receivers (9, 10, 11). The light sources and the receivers are connected to the optical fibre transmission line (6) via branch lines (4, 5, 7, 8). Each receiver is preceded by an optical filter (13, 14, 15) which only passes the corresponding wavelength. the received signals are passed through a demultiplexer.</p> |
