PURPOSE:To provide an arrangement for combustor of gas turbine, in which guide plates are provided in each space formed between transition pieces for regulating air flow through the space and for obtaining uniform cooling effect, whereby it is enabled to avoid concentration of stress at corner portions of the upper surface of said transition pieces. CONSTITUTION:In spaces or clearances 18 formed between transition pieces 9, compressed air 16 flows along vertical plate 31a of guide plate, but after passing through the spaces 18, air flows along horizontal portions 31b of the guide plate 31 in the manner covering the upper surface 19 of pieces 9. Thus, compressed air 16 flows along the entire upper surface of pieces 9 inclusive of their upper corner portions 21, without causing stagnation of air flow, so that said upper surface 19 of transition pieces 9 can be cooled uniformly and effectively over the entire surface and temperature of the transition pieces 9 in which combustion gas flows is lowered. Therefore, concentration of stress at corner portions 21 on the upper surface 19 of pieces 9 due to stagnation of air flow can be avoided. Further, since pieces 9 are connected to each other by guide plates 31, vibration and relative movement of these pieces 9 can be also eliminated.
