<p>PURPOSE:To enable recording of high quality without irregularity of ink to be performed by a method wherein a size of a minute heating element of a thermal element is so constructed that a recording paper feed direction width is made narrower than a line direction width. CONSTITUTION:A heating element 201c is formed on a substrate 201a so that length L in a recording paper feed direction (sub scanning direction) is shorter than length l in a line direction width. When a size of the minute heating element 201c of a thermal head 201 is so constructed that a recording paper feed direction width is made narrower than a line directional width, since an area to be recorded by one time thermal transfer narrows, a pressure difference between a central part of the minute heating element 201c and a peripheral part of a paper feed direction side decreases. Further, since a recording area is narrow, an amount of ink flowing onto a peripheral side decreases. Then, by recording one line equivalent content by recording a plurality of times by a same data while the recording paper and a thermal transfer ink retention material area being sent at a unit pitch content, recording of high quality without irregularity of ink can be performed.</p> |
