Film drive control for cine projector - has variable pressure plate gate to compensate for film tension

<p>The cine drive has a pressure plate which presses the film into the gate as well as tension and film loop sensors. As the film tension drops the pressure is adjusted in the gate so that the film is gripped evenly by the claws and without danger of missing the sprocket holes and tearing. For larger film spools the spool drive is enhanced. If the film tension increased beyond a set value at the gate then the pressure plate is used to secure the film, esp. at the end of the film length.</p>
