PURPOSE:To provide a hot air heater having an inexpensive humidifying function and excellent evaporating capacity by driving a heat pump by means of heat from a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A humidifyer is composed of a water receiver 6, humidifying elements 7, a cartridge tank 8, for supplying water, provided at a level regulator 9 and a feed pipe 10 of high thermal conductivity which is connected to the level regulator 9 at one end and whose other end forms a vertical pipe portion, and which is arranged directly above the element 7 and having its opening facing downward at a higher position than at the water level surface determined by the regulator 9. When the cartridge tank 8 supplied with the water is disposed on the regulator 9 the water is kept on a fixed water level in the regulator 9 and the water feed pipe 10. When a heater is operated under this condition a heat exchanger 4 becomes hot. The central part of the water feed pipe 10 which penetrates the heat exchanger is heated, bubbles are produced, the water drops on the elements 7 and is dispersed from blow holes 2 in the form of steam. |
