Angle of rotation measuring device - uses test coil consisting of conductor moved from one fixed coil former to another

A magnetic coupling between a fixed excitation coil and a measurement coil varies in proportion to the angle of rotation. A part of the test coil is placed on a first fixed coil former (3) with a radius r, and a further part on a second, also fixed coil former (4) with the same radius. The axes of both coil formers coincide; the conductor (10) is guided by a deflection element (8, 9) from the first (3) to the second coil former (4). It rotates about the axis of the coil formers proportionally to the angle of rotation. Parts of the test coil are at different distances from the excitation coil (5).
