wherein R<1> is hydroxy or amino;
R<2> is hydrogen or hydroxy; and
R<3> is hydroxymethyl or carbamoyloxymethyl and their salts with acids, together with a process for their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions having antibiotic activity and containing compounds of the general formula (I).
