<p>PURPOSE:Title compound that is made by reaction of a di- or tetrahydrophenyl group-containing compound that has the light-absorption maximum in the range from 300-400m wave length, a compound containing amino group and formaldehyde in the presence of an alcohol, thus being used as a outdoor durable coating. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting synthetic resin coating contains, as the vehicle, (A) 5-50wt% of a synthetic resin containing hydroxyl, carboxyl, and other groups, (B) an ultraviolet-absorbing amino compound that is prepared by reaction between (a) a compound having the light absorption maximum in the range from 300- 400mmu and a mono-, di- or tetrahydrophenyl group, (b) an amine-containing compound and (c) formaldehyde in the presence of at least one of alcohols. The compound (A) is, e.g., a hydroxybenzophenone as 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone.</p> |
