PURPOSE:To constitute a microwave delay time equalizer into a small size, improve the temperature characteristic and make it possible to prevent deterioration of the VSWR characteristic by coupling sufficiently a pair of bends and a pair of total reflection-type filters for obtaining a required delay time by a 3dB coupler. CONSTITUTION:The wave incident from port 11a of twin H bend 11 is led to short slot-type 3dB coupler 12 by H bend 11A and is divided equally and is inputted to total reflection-type filters 13A and 13B. Next, two waves where required delay times are given by prescribed set of elements of filters 13A and 13B are returned to coupler 12 and are synthesized and are sent to only port 11b of bend 11 but are not returned to port 11a by reason that a phase difference of 90 deg. occurs between the straight going wave and the branched wave in coupler 12, and the wave to try to return to port 11a has a phase opposite to the incident wave with a phase difference of 180 deg. and cannot be returned to port 11a. In this constitution, no element unstable for temperature change exist, and a temperature characteristic is good. |
