<p>PURPOSE:To search a tape at a high speed accurately by controlling a tape driving motor by generating pulses of a frequency corresponding to a search distance and then by comparing them with pulses of a frequency corresponding to a detection tape speed. CONSTITUTION:In search operation, a control pulse, varying with a serach distance, of a frequency higher than that in steady run state is applied from a controller to terminal 17 and then inputted to servo circuit 29. To this circuit 29, a detection pulse of a frequency equivalent to a tape speed generated by tape speed detecting method 30 detecting the rotation of take-up reel 10b of VTR, etc., is also applied and driving motor 9b for reel 10b is so controlled that both pulse frequencies will agree each other. Therefore, motor 9b rotates faster than in the steady rotation state corresponding to the pulse frequency supplied to terminal 17 to make tape search, so that high-speed search will be performed with its initial point set accurately.</p> |
