PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to stabilize the operation by using a light source, which is operative to emit a light over a wide angular range, an analyzing metering system around the light source, and an optical chopper. CONSTITUTION:A shielding cylinder 2 is rotationally driven around a lamp 1 at a preset speed. The cylinder 2 acts as an optical chopper, and the light from the lamp 1 is alternately fed through the metering transparent apertures 2a and 2b to the respective flow cells 3 and 4 of the paired photometric systems of a double beam photometric unit DB so that the photometry using the double beam method is accomplished. Thus, it is possible to accomplish the analysis of a multiplicity of items in a simultaneous manner by the double beam method. |
