<p>The coupling consists of a hose end with serrations(7) which are pushed into the hose. The end piece has a cylindrical portion which is fitted with a wing-nut(10) and ends with a flange(9). Beyond the flange, the dia. is reduced to take a flexible sealing bush(4). The opposite side of teh coupling has a nut(6) with an extension having amale thread fitting the wing-nut. The smooth bore of the nut is the same dia. as the flange on the other half of the coupling. The end of the flexible seal fits into the inner bore of the coupling, and has a lip which is deformed to provide the seal face.</p> |
