<p>An automatic dispensing machine takes a microdose of liq. from a selected, first container into a syringe and then delivers the liq. into a selected, second container. The syringe is fixed to a mobile mounting which can be moved vertically up and down as well as to and fro horizontally along two axes at right angles to each other. The syringe piston can be displaced to draw in or deliver the liq. Pref. the mobile mounting is an assembly of three carriages. Each carriage can move backwards and forwards only along an axis at right angles to both the corresp. axes of the other two carriages. Pref. an individual electric motor is used to actuate each carriage and another to operate the syringe. All motors are regulated by a central programmed controller. The machine pref. also comprises two intermittently advancing conveyors both linked to the central controller. The two conveyors respectively are used to bring a secession of first and second containers to and from the dispensing station. Used for the study of serological and biochemical liqs. and suspensions partic. in cytology and immund-haematology, e.g. micro-tests on erythrocytes, leucocytes etc. Fully automatic loading of syringe from selected first container is followed by automatic location of selected second container(s) according to a predetermined programme. Provides high speed, accurate dispensing to a wide variety of programmes.</p> |
