<p>Hypoglycaemic p-aminoalkylbenzenesulphonamides New compounds of formula (I) where m = 2 or 3; R1 = alkyl (max C12), alkenyl (C3-5), cycloalk(en)yl (max C7) or phenylalkyl (max C9); R2 = H or alkyl (max C2); R3 = H, (chloro)alyl (max C7) alkenyl (max C5), cycloalk(en)yl (max C8) phenyl(alk(en)yl (max C10); the phenyl groups are opt. substd. with 1-3Cl, Br, F, CF3, alkyl (max C4) hydroxyl, alkoxy- or alkylthio (max C2); R4 = H or methyl. (I) have hypoglycaemic activity and may be used against diabetes. In an example p-(2-acetamidoethyl) benzenesulphochlroide is added to aqueous NaOH and ethyleneimine and tert. sodiumbutylcyanamide is added to the product to give 1- p-(2-acetamidoethyl)phenylsulphonyl -2-imino 3-(tert. butyl)imidazolidine.</p> |
