发明名称 Verfahren zur Herstellung von Elektroden fuer galvanische Elemente und Akkumulatoren
摘要 <PICT:1024199/C6-C7/1> An electrode for accumulators is made by impregnating a lightweight porous skeleton material e.g. of plastic or spun glass, with a metal oxide as active mass formed anodically in an electrolyte. For example, two layers of sintered polyethylene are united with a central leaf of lead foil which has slits or recesses to anchor and unite the two plastic layers. This is immersed as anode in an electrolyte consisting of alkaline lead plumbite or an ammoniacal solution of silver, when lead or silver oxide particles 6 are formed between the sintered plastic particles 5. The lead oxide may be converted to the dioxide by treatment with H2So4 containing anions e.g. nitrate, acetate, chlorate, to form soluble lead salts, which will also convert the lead foil 2. This is preferably masked at least partly, with lacquer to maintain the lead structure in metallic form. As an alternative to lead, nickel or copper may be precipitated on the porous skeleton to render it conductive, and after impregnation with lead oxide the Ni or Cu is dissolved out. Preferably the electrolyte contains sodium nitrate or sulphite to suppress oxygen generation at the anode. Electrodes so produced have a capacity of 3 to 4.5 amp. hrs. per sq. dm.
