POWER FEEDER FOR FORMATING CELL ELECTRODE

摘要

PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of electrode board and to improve the productionability in formating process by providing a plurality of conductive rods with proper interval on the surface of charged feeder roll thereby contacting non-caustified hoop electrode board with feeder roll. CONSTITUTION:Non-caustified hoop electrode board 1 for paste type cadmium cathod electrode board is continuous fed through feeder roll 2 to the formating device, then continuously formated in an electrolyte 4 such as potassium hydroxide by conducting between facing electrode 5. Minus potential of DC power source is supplied from power feeder roll 3 to said electrode board 1. A plurality of conductive rods 8 are fixed in parallel with the core on the surface of said feeder roll 3, where said rod 8 and the plain section 7 of core provide linear contact thus to provide good conductivity. The diameter of said rod 8 is preferable to be 1/10-1/20 of that of roll 3 while the rods are arranged with 15-45 deg. against the core and the length of rod 8 is perferable to be longer then the width of electrode board 1.
