The coin-in-the-slot machine includes a price programming system. A microprocessor system and a numerical display are allocated to the coin receiver. The microprocessor system applies to the numerical display unit the paid-in amount, and calculates the price of the collected goods from a programmed price table and continuously compares it with the paid-in amount. The appts. may include a tape cassette for the microprocessor programme and it may consist of a coin operated photocopying machine.
