PURPOSE:To sharpen the blade edge without changing the stage by contacting both sides of the blade edge to the corresponding surfaces of the V-shaped groove by inserting the blade edged from both sides slightly tilted against the grindstone revolving surface into the V-shaped groove of the revolving grindstone. CONSTITUTION:The V-shaped groove 13 of which opening angle is almost the same with the angle of the blade edge 10a of the razor blade 10 to be ground is formed around the grindstone 12. The blade edge 10a being tilted by the small angle theta of about 0 deg.-5 deg. against the revolving surface of the revolving grindstone 12 is inserted into the V-shaped groove, and the both sides of the blade edge 10a are contacted to the corresponding surfaces of the V-shaped groove 13 to sharpen the blade edge 10a. |
