PURPOSE:To effectively prevent clogging of the wiping nozzle of the material which is hard to react and wet with the molten plating metal on steel hoops by wiping the steel hoops while maintaining said wiping nozzle at the temperature above the melting point of the molten plating metal. CONSTITUTION:While the foregoing wiping nozzle (e.g,; the nozzle comprising oxide film treating of the surface of aluminum, etc). is being maintained at the temperature above the melting point of the molten plating metal, wiping is accomplished with a non-oxidative gas or reducing gas. The heating methods of the wiping nozzle include the method of radiating from outside such as infrared ray lamp radiation or installing electric resistance wires to the inside or outside of the nozzle and heating them through electric resistance, etc. This wiping method does not cause clogging in the wiping nozzle even if the plate is passed at much higher speed than before and there is no need at all for any mechanical and artificial clogging removing works. |
