Combined use of anti-endotoxin synthetic peptides and of anti-endotoxin antibodies for the prophylaxis and treatment of endotoxicosis and septic shock

Methods and compositions for neutralizing endotoxin and for the prophylaxis and treatment of endotoxicosis and septic shock are disclosed, which comprise the use of peptides specifically binding to the conserved endotoxin structure (Lipid A), and antibodies specifically binding to the antigenic determinants in the endotoxin core structure of different genera of Gram-negative bacteria.
