PURPOSE:To prevent damages on fiber end faces, by providing a screw threaded in a reverse way to the threading of receptacles as a connecting nut between a connecting nut and optical fiber cable end part, and allowing the plug to protrude from the connecting nut only when connecting. CONSTITUTION:Plugs 3 are inserted from both sides into a fitting hole 4 in a receptacle 5. Using them as connecting nuts 6, when the receptacle 5 is tightened by screwing, since the threading between connecting nut 6 and optical fiber cable terminal 8 and that between convecting mut 6 and receptacle 5 are reverse to each other and the terminal 8 and plugs 3 are integrated, the plugs 3 protrude from the connecting nuts 6, so that the optical fibers at the end of the plugs 3 are joined end to end together. Thus, connection is completed. To the contrary, when removing the connection, when the connecting nuts 6 and receptacle 5 are unscrewed, since the threading between connecting nuts 6 and terminal 8 is in reverse relation, the plugs 5 automatically move in the direction to retreat into the connecting nuts 6, so that the optical fiber end faces 7 at the end of plugs 3 go into the connecting nuts 6. |
