<p>Coloured specks for use in soap- and washing powders are comprised of fine particles sepd. from a gas stream resulting from the prodn. of spray dried soap- or washing powder, and agglomerated with a coloured agglomerating agent. Pref. the fine particles have a particle size of 200 mu and are sepd. in a cyclone separator. The agglomerating agent used is e.g. Na silicate, a non-ionic surfactant, a fatty acid, a cellulose deriv. or a mixt. of these, and the agglomerated particles have a dia. of 400-1500 mu. Process is economical to operate and uses cyclone dust from the washing powder prodn. process. The specks formed are evenly coloured, are visually detectable and do not separate out of the prod.</p> |
