<p>Continuous machine is intended for ground fruits, such as pears or apricots, or for elongated vegetables, such as asparagus. It consists of a series of oscillating shutters carried by transverse shafts, each of the latter terminates in a crank which follows the path of a fixed cam. The ends of the shafts are moved by two endless chain conveyors. The shutters are grouped in pairs and the grading is effected between the opposite free edges of oscillating shutters which open downwards in a progressive manner. The variable interstices thus defined assure the grading of each prod. which falls on to one of the four conveyor belts beneath the shutters, according to its size.</p> |
