PURPOSE:To reduce the number of terminals for testing to realize the size reduction of a chip package or utilize the terminals efficiently by utilizing the unused terminals for other functions by generating the preset data in the chip. CONSTITUTION:A radix generating means 2 which generates radixes and a loading means 3 which loads a counting means 1 with a radix in accordance with predetermined load signal inputted from the outside of a chip are provided. The predetermined radix, i.e., the preset data, is generated in the chip in accordance with the predetermined setting signal inputted from the outside of the chip. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a terminal for the preset data in the chip so that the chip size can be reduced or the terminals can be utilized efficiently. |
