An outlet feed on a printing press is such that sheets successively fall from an overhead conveyor through guide elements to a pick-up. A sheet holder is provided for the timed pick-up of printed sheets (6) falling from the conveyor(8). The sheet holder consists of a row of telescopic fork teeth connected at one of its ends with a fork support. The forks are located in one plane in parallel. The telescopic fork teeth can be moved by a drive unit simultaneously through the guide elements and, when fully opened, pick up the printed sheets falling from the overhead conveyor.
