Standard lamp base with discs - has radially slotted disc for cable and disc with column collar

The standard lamp has a tubular stand on a base with a round cover plate. The metal discs of the base are held by an inwardly turned edge of the cover plate. The upper disc has a threaded sleeve for the supply cable. The latter is fitted without significantly increasing the thickness of the base. One of the discs has a slot reaching up to the standard lamp column for carrying the flex. The top disc has an upwardly drawn central collr for holding the column. The bottom disc has a downwardly bulging radial part for accommodating the lower part of the flex in the slot. The flex is held with a coupling bracket.
