PURPOSE:To offer an automatic tool replacement device in a machine tool which assures easy replacement of tool at the spindle head and also easy maintenance by making its mechanism simple and of unit construction as well as with small size and weight. CONSTITUTION:Two or more tools 11b, 11c are housed separably by a disc type tool magazine 9 is its outside end and shifted downward by a position shifting device 13. The used tool 11a on the spindle 7 substitutes the tool 11b held by the tool position shifting device 13, by the oil-hydraulic rotation of the automatic tool replacement device 15 equipped with a tool replacing arm 14 having tool grasping parts 14a at the both ends. This process is controlled by a command given by separate control device 8. As the tool replacing arm 14 is operated oil-hydraulically, the device can be made small. |
