A composition having diuretic activity which contains a potassium-flushing diuretic and a potassium-retaining compound, said potassium-retaining compound is a compound of the formula <IMAGE> I wherein R1 and R2 are C1-6-alkyl or C2-6-alkenyl, and R3 and R4, independently, are hydrogen, C1-6-alkyl, C2-6-alkenyl or C1-6-acyl, or R3 and R4 together with the nitrogen atom are an optionally unsaturated 5-, 6- or 7-membered heterocyclic group, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, are described. |
