<p>PURPOSE:To provide a sound absorption system of safty device for high pressure reaction equipment, said system attenuating simultaneously impulse wave and spouting noise and acting as reaction product recovering means and ignition-preventing means. CONSTITUTION:In this sound absorption system, a discharge tube 9 of rupture disk 11 is provided with sound absorption duct-type structure with a diffuser 1 to attenuate simultaneously impulse wave and spouting noise. Sound absorption duct is composed of two-stage structure consisting of part 2 for high frequency and part 3 for low frequency, whereby resounding due to a large quantity of instantaneous flow at air-discharge port is lowered and sound absorbing effect is remarkable. The diffuser 1 and the air-discharge port are provided with nets 4,5 of 4-20 mesh, the area of each net being 4-6 times the open area ratio of the cross section of the sound absorption system so that reaction products can safely be recovered without the blockage of gas discharge system. By providing a water reservoir 6 at the bottom of the sound absorption system, the holes of the diffuser also serve as outlets for overflow to cool gas and to prevent ignition of gas or the remaining carbon.</p> |
