The frequency indicator uses a number of LED chips mounted on a substrate (11). The LED chips are arranged in a straight line and are shielded from one another by respective identical light shields (17), connected to one another by narrow integral bridging sections, to form a light shield strip (14). Pref. this strip is made from a material which has the same heat expansion coefficient as that of the substrate. The internal walls of each of the light shields (17) may be coated with a lacquer. The light shield strip (14) may be made of a colourless epoxy resin with an addition of between 50 and 75 percentage by weight of titanium dioxide. |
