<p>PURPOSE:To measure the ratio of SOx, SO3 and SO2 in combustion exhaust gas, car exhaust gas or the like without corrosion of an analyzer due to SO3 by contacting the gas to carbon material of 320-500 deg.C to selectively convert SO3 into SO2 with high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:Combustion exhaust gas, car exhaust gas or the like is passed through a SO3/SO2 converter contg. activated carbon of 350 deg.C to selectively convert SO3 in the gas into SO2 with high efficiency of about 100% according to the reaction of the equation. This exhaust gas is then introduced into a NOx analyzer (A) and a SOx analyzer (B) to perform analysis while perfectly preventing corrosion of the pipings of the analyzers and pollution of the detection parts. Thus, by the method of (B) the amt. of SOx converted into SO2 can be measured. By setting a press. controller in parallel with the converter and measuring the amt. of SO2 in exhaust gas passed through the converter and the amt. of SO2 in exhaust gas passed through the controller alone, the amt. of SO3 can be obtd. as the difference.</p> |
